DGX) http://www.questdiagnostics.com/. The #1 Lab in the world. Doctor B is out of retirement and talking about HEAR USA. The vision is to change the culture in this niche. Did you know that there is no regulation in this industry and No inspection is needed for any hearing care facility? We discuss Medicare, Insurance claims and the 9% revenue growth. When there is something at issue in West Palm Beach between the CEO and the chairman they take a walk around the lake. Show time about 8 mins.
Interview with Dr. Raymond Brouzes, CEO of Axial Vector Engine Corp. I chatted with Dr. Raymond Brouzes about the "Engine" pictured on the side. Plenty of technical information in this Podcast. The engine was developed to meet the military’s need to have an engine that burned diesel, JP5 and JP8. We talked about the specs. It only weighs 68 pounds and can power a Hummer or 18 wheeler. Could this be the future of transportation? Lots of interest in this at the Value Rich Conference.
Interview with Clara Conti, President and CEO of IPIX When I started off the interview, I found out that she was related to Bill Conti from Providence, Rhode Island, the composer of the "Rocky" as well as many other soundtracks. IPIX is involved with Homeland security products out of Reston, Virginia. IPIX builds a camera that uses a 360 degree fish eye lens. The image is “de-warped” and “flattened out like you might have seen on “West Wing and CSI”. The patent for this technology has been defended all the way to the Supreme Court. IPIX has about 40 other patents in the immersive imaging space. IPIX started with virtual tours and licenses the technology to Realtor.com. Clara walked me around and showed me some of the products on display like the Command View 360 also with a spherical view. It's the same camera that lined Pennsylvania Ave during the inaugural parade. The images are transmitted back to a control area with Secret Service agents that monitor using the [PTZ] Pan tilt zoom. PTZ allows 360 views to maneuver around the stands, street and roof. The camera also uses video analytics software. Clara and I talked about government contracting, federal integrators with sole source contracts IE (FEMA and Katrina relief) and the future of this technology with big box retailers that can use this product to watch customer behavior from buying patterns, store traffic, product placement on shelves and loss prevention. Interview time about 10 mins.
